In this famous couplet, sage Kabir expresses his deep gratitude towards his teacher (Guru) by saying – if Guru and God (Govind), both appear in front of me, I would feel a little perplexed as to whose feet I should touch first. But I would first bow down to my teacher who guided me and showed me the way to reach God. The person, without whom I would never know God.
On this Teacher’s Day, show your respect towards your teachers, who help you gain knowledge and shape you into fine individuals. And also, pay your reverence to Lord Ganesha. The God who ends all your sorrows.
