FY11 Standalone Performance at a Glance:
- Revenues grew 5% y-o-y at INR 54,849 Lacs led by Publication business which grew 8% at INR 29,930 lacs and Stationery segment which grew by 2% at INR 24,407 Lacs lower than expected as exports during the year were hit by severe competition from the international markets while others segment stood static at around 513 lacs.
- Operating margins stood at INR 12,585 lacs in FY11 (22.9% of sales) as compared to INR 11,048 lacs in FY10 (21.16% of sales) - an improvement of 14% on a y-o-y basis. Raw material consumption as a percentage of sales fell by over 200 bps which partially offset by increase in staff costs which increased by 100 bps. Other expenditure also reduced by 100 bps as a percentage of sales on account of reduction of Marketing, Sales pormotion and Admn.exp.
