Navneet Publications announces bonus issue

Highlights:

  • Revenues for the financial year ended March 2009 revenues stood at Rs. 5065 million against the revenues of Rs. 4016 million of March 2008 and on consolidated basis the revenues of FY09 was Rs. 5168 million as against revenues was Rs. 4123 million for FY08.
  • Net Profits for the year ended FY09 was Rs. 589 million as against net profits during FY08 which stood at Rs. 537 million and on consolidated basis Rs. 564 million in FY09 as against Rs. 542 million in FY08. 
  • Bonus Equity Shares has been recommended by the Board of Directors in its meeting held on 31st July, 2009, in the ratio 3:2 (i.e. three shares for every two shares held.).
  • The company plans to launch two new brands in corporate and premium stationery
  • Mumbai, August 01, 2009: Navneet Publications (India) Ltd. (BSE: 508989 / NSE: NAVNEETPUBL), a dominant player in educational & office stationery products, by an escalation of 25% in revenues , crossed the Rs. 500 crore mark in FY09 owing to a remarkable growth in company’s domestic stationery segment, both paper and non-paper stationery. Change of educational syllabus of major standards over last few years for both, Maharashtra and Gujarat has also contributed to the growth of company’s publication business.
    The shareholders of Company at AGM held on 31st July, 2009 have declared dividend of Rs. 2.60 per share of every Rs. 2/- paid up for the financial year 2008-2009 amounting to Rs.24.77 crores.
     
    The Board of Directors at its meeting held on 31st July, 2009 has recommended Bonus Equity Shares in the ratio of 3:2 (i.e. three shares for every two shares held.).
    Navneet Publications (India) Ltd. plans to expand its reach both nationwide and worldwide. Presently, it is targeting the domestic stationery sector, which is tipped to gain momentum in the near future. The company plans to launch two new brands both in the corporate and premium stationery segment in near future. Products under development include highlighters, plastic file and folders, scissors, calculators etc.

    Brief Notes on Navneet Publications (India) Ltd.:-

    2005: Navneet Publications acquired the Spanish children’s book publisher ‘Grafalco’ to strengthen its international presence.

    2007: Navneet Publications ventured into the non-paper stationery business by introducing a new brand – ‘FfUuNn’ as a natural extension to its existing paper stationery business targeting children.

    2008: The Company developed an innovative ’E-learning’ tool - multimedia software that provides  animated experience of prescribed text books to aid classroom learning process for students,
