Classroom Teaching Module (CRTM) is an audio-visual teaching aid for teachers developed by Navneet. CRTM has excellent visuals, animations and voice over. CRTM is based on Maharashtra and Gujarat State Board Syllabus and covers all the chapters of Science, Maths and Social Studies.
Is CRTM available for all Standards and Medium?
CRTM is available for standard 9 th and 10 th in English and Marathi medium of instruction. CRTM would be available for standard 8 th from academic year 2010-11 and for standard 5 th to 10 th from academic year 2011-12.
What computer skills are required to operate CRTM?
CRTM is extremely user friendly and it does not demand any special skills to operate. The user needs to just switch on the computer and will be able to access CRTM on just one click.
What are the benefits of CRTM?
Technology, as a tool, has potential to simplify and expedite the teaching and learning task. Today's teacher has uphill task of teaching the vast syllabus within the specific time limit. CRTM can help teacher in teaching the syllabus faster and better.
A chapter like electrolysis for example, is extremely difficult for a teacher to teach in the classroom and would take around 3 effective hours in absence of any audio-visual help. But if taught through the CRTM developed by Navneet would take less than 2 hours. Effectively, teacher would save on teaching time and students will understand better.
CRTM saves time and energy of teachers and students.
Where should one use CRTM?
CRTM should be used in the classroom. It should not be restricted to AV room as it is impractical to take the students in the AV room every time teacher wants to use CRTM.
What is the best method to teach with the help of CRTM?
Navneet approach recommends five steps while teaching through CRTM. The teacher should introduce the topic that he/she wants to teach, show CRTM for that topic, interact with students on that topic, evaluate students through small objective test and finally counsel students to improve on their weak areas. Navneet believes with this approach a teacher will become a counselor.
What equipments are required in the classroom?
For effective utilization of CRTM, the classroom should have a laptop, a projector, a screen and a pair of speaker. The present classrooms need to be converted into high-tech classroom.

Navneet intends to equip each and every classroom of the school with a Laptop, a Projector, a Screen and a pair of speaker. This will facilitate effective use of CRTM in the classroom and benefit the teachers by faster teaching and students by better understanding.
IT infrastructure in all classrooms though is ideal scenario but has huge investment. Navneet realized the fact that it would not be affordable to make the school fully equipped and hence designed a plan to make your school more equipped in terms of IT infrastructure every year and gradually achieve the final goal of high-tech school.
Under the plan, Navneet enters into a five year agreement with School to provide User License of Navneet CRTM, 5 Laptops, 5 Projectors, 5 screens and 5 pairs of speakers. Navneet will provide 1 new set of hardware every year during the contract period. As all the hardware is portable, school can plan its effective use in multiple classrooms by setting the time table accordingly.
The plan, if implemented, would enable the school to possess five sets of hardware and user license of CRTM over the contract period. The plan will make the school much more equipped if not fully equipped.
